John
is always described by his co-stars as a
nice guy, easy to work with due to his professionalism.
Back to his high school days, according
to all former classmates that studied with
him, John was class president, senior favorite,
very intelligent and everybody's buddy.
Standing about 6 foot tall, this handsome
and talented actor started his career in
the soap opera Guiding Light
playing the gullible and studly nice guy
Kelly Nelson. He stayed in the show from
1980 to the 1984 and landed a role in another
soap opera: As the world turns, from
which he received a daytime Emmy award as
best supporting actor for his role of Doug
Cummings. John also worked on stage in plays
like "Dancing at Lughnasa" in New York.
In 1981 John recorded the
album "Images", now a collector's item.
It contains ten tracks sung by John plus
the inner sleeve contains song lyrics and
photos. If you have more information about
it, please send a note! I collected the
information as well the picture from ebay.
Another Emmy followed for
his guest appearance in Santa Barbara.
His big shot came in 1990 when he got the
got the leading role of CBS's The
Flash. Unfortunately the series
ended after only one season, but it was
enough to make this one of the cult series
of the 90's.
In 1993 John starred in the
stage production of the dark comedy "The
Killing of Michael Malloy" at the Tiffany
Theater in Los Angeles.
John made then a series of
movies and guest appearances on TV shows. |
